Derek Popple is a screenprinter based in Berkeley, CA. Drawing inspiration from a background in photography, much of his work focuses on recreating full color images from a limited palette of constituents through a modified CMYK process. The subjects of his work often reflect his adventures around the Bay Area and backcountry of Northern California, documenting city sights and remote locations few come in contact with. Outside of his own production, he is passionate about bringing people's ideas to a tangible form through collaborative small batch printing, consulting on zine and project production, and teaching printmaking classes around the Bay Area.
